In Britain, Germany, France, and Italy there are still LICENSE deals with Sky TV until 2025. Until then, German viewers may have to wait.

We looked at the offer more closely and we'll tell you what the streaming platform has in store for European HBO Max customers in the future.

Currently, HBO Max is only available to viewers in Germany and/or Europe through a Virtual Private Network (VPN) and a complicated workaround through an app store. This is supposed to change soon, but it's still unclear how German viewers will be able to see the full program.

In the end, there are still contracts for distributing rights to Sky TV for airing HBO series like "Westworld" or"The Undoing" which is responsible for airing these shows in German. This deal was renewed only in 2019. Europeans may not be able to enjoy the announced films such as "Wonder Woman 1984", "Dune" and "Matrix 4" on streaming service as it will be possible for US-viewers.

HBO Max is introducing a new evolutionary step and presenting a much more comprehensive program than the two older services. HBO Now remains as the standard on a few end devices, but HBO Max is replacing it completely.

The platform contains the huge library of the broadcaster with various film and series production. These can be accessed by customers at any time and so watch as many episodes or movies as they want. HBO Max users are available 10,000 hours of entertainment.
